Just got notice from escrow that ROFR was waived for Hilton's Kingsland Waikoloa. 6300 Points, Gold Season, EOY Even for $2800.00 with 6300 rescue points held over from 2008. However, MF are up there $1100.00 EOY.

Congrats,
I've never seen a 6,300 point package for Kings Land, thought they all were much higher with only one and 2 bedrooms. Even 2 Bedroom Gold EOY was 10,600. I think you got very lucky, I've been looking for them on Ebay and have not found one at Kings Land.

I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised if this is valid for Kings Land.
This is what Judi a Rep with time share resales has posted for Kings Land.

Seth, any clarification on this one. Is it true or a hopeful dreamer sharing hallucinations with us???:)

In the member's guide it has 6300 points listed at Kingsland for a 1 bedroom plus during gold season. It looks correct to me. :)

This doesn't prove anything. These are just asking prices. Ebay prices are generally much lower.

that is amazing!! I cant believe that they let that go through to tell you the truth. that is .45 a point. It seems to good to be true, but if they waived ROFR than you got a great deal

Actually, since it's EOY, it's more like $.89 per point.

Still a good deal. I would have bought it if I'd seen it.

how do you figure .89 a point?

.44 cents a point is what it is worth. It doesnt really matter if it is EOY in my opinion. Just curious why you double it if it is an EOY?

For apples to apples comparison, some folks use the annual number of HGVC points.

For EOY that would be half (6,300 EOY X .5) = 3,150 HGVC points every year.
Purchase price ($2800) divided by the number of points each year (3,150) = .89 cents per point

I see. But you are not paying MFs every year so this doesnt seem like a fair equation to figure out point purchase value.

I guess you are right, apples and oranges, is the glass half full or half empty?

Right, but you also don't get points allocated every year. To get the equivalent (points and MFs) of an every year unit, you need to buy two EOY units. That's why doubling the purchase price of an EOY unit is the relevant comparison.

It is still a surprisingly good deal.

Good price, but may be hard to use your points at Kingsland because the Gold season is only 9 weeks out of the year. I am not sure how many 1 bedroom units the resort will have. 6300 points will only get you a 1-bedroom+ unit. I believe the majority of the resort will be 2 bedroom units. Does anyone know how many units will be 2 bedroom and how many will be 1 bedroom? Or do you know where to find this info? I tried to look it up in the member guide but this info is not stated as far as I can tell.
