There is a Timesharestransfers in Colorado and a Timesharetransfer in Florida and the only difference in web address is the "s" after transfer. I see where the no "S" company with green and blue arrows is known on this BBS, but what about the other one. http:timesharetransfers.com , are they of good reputation?

I too was confused by the "similar" URL's

Cannot find any licensing for the one in Colorado

And there is no mention of one on their web site

I received a refund - through my credit card dispute - they were acting more as a selling agent than a "neutral third party" - Tried to switch me into a "similar membership", through my own due dillegence I determiend that there was a loan outstanding on the similar property of 5 X the total consideration. Did the same due dillegence on the original eBay auction item before authorizing the charge. The orginal seller, "revoked his limited POA", another wrinkle on how you might get screwed when dealing with a PCC, even as a buyer.

many T/S transactions will linger too long to use your credit card dipute process - so don't assume there is recourse

I'd bet that the unknown Colorado entity is just an "in house" closer for some PCC or other commercial reseller, subtly capitalizing on the good name of the well known and well respected FLorida company.

I was just wondering how Wantedweeks got a hold of the unit if it was contracted to Timeshare Rescue?

Deja vu --- Timeshare Transfer, Inc. (in FL) vs. Timeshare Transfers (in CO)

<snip> She declined using timesharetransfer.com out of Vero Beach, FL because the attorney advising her insisted that she go with timesharetransfers.com out of Boulder, CO. I expressed some reservations about the Boulder, CO operation, but she remained insistent that we need to go with this title company because "Due to all of the FL scams I'm afraid that using who our attorney recommended is the only way we are comfortable." <snip>

The similarity of these two company names has come up periodically in TUG forums for some years now.
A search will promptly reveal dozens of posts on the same topic; the facts are simple and straightforward.

Timeshare Transfer, Inc. of Vero Beach, FL has been in the business of closing resale timeshares for many years and has a solid, well established reputation for reliability and competency. Many savvy, experienced people here on TUG have used them numerous times, consistently always reporting complete satisfaction.

In stark contrast, I have never seen anyone openly claim success or satisfaction with the T. Transfers "operation" in Boulder, CO --- whatever that "operation" might be. 'Nuff said. An unnamed "attorney" allegedly "recommending" this entity is a mildly humorous (...but still patently absurd) claim. Period, amen.

IMnsHO, you would be wise to just turn around and walk completely away from the transaction if someone inexplicably insists upon using the obscure Colorado "operation" for a closing. Any such strange insistence upon using a shady entity with a highly questionable track record simply does not pass the "sniff test".

Kristopher Chavez Timeshare Rescue

Very sad to report that the Timeshare Rescue bankruptcy was completed last month and all of Chavez' assets (approx. $7,029) went to the bankruptcy trustee/accountants. Basically nothing went to any of the $778,181.65 in unsecured claims. (Though that included a $35,691.32 claim to an attorney's office, $468,000 claim by Nick & Betty Chavez (presumably Kris Chavez' relative), and $161,489 to another attorney's office.

Shawn Fletcher is in California as an aspiring actor https://www.facebook.com/shaun.fletcher.982 , Kris Chavez is in Denver http://kristopherchavez.com/ http://www.linkedin.com/in/kristopherchavez

Copy of the bankruptcy report that I downloaded from the Court website: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1668296/TSR_Bankruptcy_Final_Report.pdf
