Is anyone familiar w/ II enough to help answer these questions please. I've just called them and the woman I spoke with was very nice (bless her heart) but really was clueless as to what I was talking about.

I was reading the FAQ here on tug for II and following the steps to see if my week would be eligible for a AC if I deposited it. Only, I'm not able to deposit (or extend a week I've already deposited) bc the buttons to select do not show!

When I click on "my units" I see:

Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort-Gold Plus

WL4
Unit: 1BED 2009 (Float)
Available
This unit is available to deposit and exchange immediately, use to place an exchange request, or exchange at a later date.
Place Request

Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas

When I called II, they said I couldn't deposit my Lagunamar bc they recently changed the rules and that particular resort cannot be deposited FIRST. It must be used only as a REQUEST FIRST. Why is that?

She also said if I wanted to extend my week that's already deposited, I would have to call bc I couldn't do it online for some reason (she wasn't sure why, maybe a "glitch" in the system). Then I asked why the Mission Hills deposit buttons didn't show and she said she didn't know.

This is frustrating...bc I had to wait about 15 min for someone who doesn't have the answers.

Can someone please tell me how to deposit a week when the deposit buttons don't show - or is it that both of my units cannot be deposited first? And if so, would that mean neither are eligible for an AC.

One more thing: I own an EVEN YR FLOAT (lagunamar) and ODD YEAR FLOAT (mission hills). They both show 2009 on II. Any idea why?

Thanks so much for any help from you experts - I've usually found it pays to go to the people who USE the system when you want correct info.

There are several on-going threads about this on the TUG Starwood Board. II/Starwood are making big changes in the way Starwood TS's are deposited with II, and since neither company has made an official announcement about it, we are still trying to piece it together. - http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=51

See the threads on the Starwood board - in a nutshell - you have to call Starwood first.

- No, II does not give AC's for Starwood deposits.

That's pretty much true for everyone. If you tried to exchange your odd year, Starwood would substitute your even year week for exchange, or if it's not available, the exchange would not go through.
