Ditto...

We have used this company at least ten times, with great results.

Same here. None better, in my opinion.

I agree! None better!

I have done humdreds of transactions with them. Quality company with people of integrity.

Howdy all. Brand new to this board, and I have loads and loads of questions! :)

We are looking at selling our timeshare with [name removed], and we have fielded phone calls from nearly every scam outfit on the planet it seems (nearly all made during supper hours I might add), and I am getting a little overwhelmed.

I am looking at the company listed at the beginning of this discussion, and was trying to figure out if they will sell our timeshare for us?

Not entirely sure how this works, but hopefully you all can help me out!

Thanks!

Bob

They are a legitimate independent closing company that will make sure your timeshare is completely out of your name once you find a real buyer

Timeshare Closing Service Agency.

You find your own buyer -- e.g., via eBay, RedWeek, Craig's List, etc. -- & then Timeshare Transfer Inc. or some other professional timeshare closing service agency of your choice (or, more likely, of the buyer's choice) takes care of estoppel, deed preparation & recording, resort notification, receiving the money from the buyer, & disbursing the money to the seller.

The bill for all that is $350 or so -- & well worth it in my experience. Who pays for it is a matter for negotiation between buyer & seller. In better financial times, buyers customarily paid for closing. Now that it's a tougher market, the seller might consider springing for closing, or splitting the cost with the buyer.

One thing to keep in mind (which I never would have thought of if Carolinian had not helpfully pointed it out right here on TUG-BBS) is that it may be important for the timeshare closing services agency to have its own licensed attorney on staff or of counsel, & it may also be important for the agency to be physically located in the same state as the timeshare resort -- just to make sure that the sale is airtight & the deed is totally in compliance with all legal requirements.

Good luck with your sale.

I used Timeshare Transfer Inc. for the sale of my timeshare and was very pleased with them. They were very helpful and everything went very smoothly. They charge $300 for the closing process.

We are looking at selling our timeshare
Welcome to TUG. If you haven't already done so, read this information about how to sell your timeshare. Be careful not to give the specifics of what you are trying to sell when you post questions on the forums because we have strict rules about no advertising on the forums. Even though you may not intend to advertise that way, once you give the timeshare, week owned, and state that you want to sell, that is construed to be an ad.

You are welcome to post ads in the TUG Marketplace, however, and you can easily find it by clicking on Marketplace in the red bar at the top of the page.

The main things to be aware of is that anyone who asks for a substantial amount of money upfront to sell your timeshare is most likely a scam company. They'll take your money and you'll never hear from them again & they certainly won't sell your timeshare for you.

I've used them a lot

I have used them many, many, times. They are a fine closing company. Keep in mind the buyer usually pays for closing and it is around $300 to close a timeshare. I have split that fee and even paid it myself to rid myself of a timeshare but usually the buyer does pay.

I had a glitch on a Marriott Manor Club Sequel I sold. Timeshare Transfer asked me to pay $50 extra dollars to prepare the ROFR paperwork. I paid it then they charged my buyer the cost of the ROFR that Marriott charges. I was surprised by this fee and told them so... But I did pay it.

I'll just add to the list of satisfied buyers...worked with Susan and Joyce, both of whom communicated quickly, effectively and regularly (ok...with a little prompting on my end:)...I'd certainly used them again!

Done and done. Sorry about that Karen.

I'm going to go through that info link you posted. Thanks for all the responses!
