Bonnet Creek available as extra vacation but not exchange

I called RCI today to set up an ongoing search for a 2 bedroom Bonnet Creek this summer (June 12 - Aug 1st time frame). It is being searched against a 105 pt. wyndham deposit and the person I spoke to wasn't optimistic. My question is should I just cancel the search since I see there are 2 bedrooms available during my search period in extra vacations? Seems to me if I had any chance of pulling this I would have today since there is inventory in extra vacations so that leads me to believe that my deposit won't ever pull this.

Is this correct thinking? I'm new to this but it seems logical.

The extra vacations are anywhere from $600-$850 for those weeks I am searching for.

You have discovered the primary reason I cancelled my RCI account and eventually sold my timeshare.

When RCI can get $600-$800 instead of trading for a comparable banked week/points, they will - and you have no control over what they do.

Wyndham does not necessarily make exchange inventory avialable at the same time as EV inventory---and some of that EV inventory will not be from Weeks deposits, but may come from Wyn owners going through points or Wyn marketing directly.

But, June *has* been deposited, and there *are* 2BRs there for late June. It is very surprising that a 105K red 1BR generic does not see it.

Can I suggest that you widen your RCI search. There are lots of great TS in Orlando beside Bonnet Creek. The Hiltons, Sheratons and Orange Lake just to name a few.

It's more than just interesting. I got a July BC week in 2009 with a white studio.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations @ orange lake (river Island and East Village)

I will now wait and see what happens.

I see 3 2BR BC units available within your timeframe. This is weeks, not points though.

I would recommend the north village at OLCC as well.

The way the conversation has gone the rest of us are assuming you are searching with a 105K value Generic deposit. Is that the case or is it a visible week. ?

Yes. It is a 105K generic.

I'm not so sure i'd be too optimistic either but it's still early and if you have the time and points to wait, why not.

Since the enhancement i've noticed my 70K visible deposits don't see too many Hiltons or bonnet creek stuff. Maybe your 105k pulls more. We don't know. When I do see gold crown units, mostly they are studios.

Vistana Resorts may be another one you want to add to your list.

Well, they are still available from Wyndham, but, granted will take more points.

I only see EV too, at way too much $$, even throughout the year when VALUE time comes up in Wyndham.
