Transportation from airport to Grand Mayan Riviera Maya

I have heard the resort offers a free transfer from the airport. How do I go about making reservations? I have written using the customer service link, but I'm not sure if there is a better way to contact them. Also, I had heard at one time that they wouldn't let other tour operators enter the grounds. We have a private shuttle transfer service picking us up at the end of our stay and taking us to Belize. I hope it won't be a problem for them to enter the resort to pick us up.

The resort requires you to obtain a written confirmation that you have booked a reservation for the ride to the resort. You need to contact them via email and provide your name, number of passengers, your hotel confirmation and the date, time, airline and flight number to the concierge. The email address is: conciergem@mayanpalace.com.mx You should do this no later than 3 days prior. I did not get the email confirmation back so I ended up calling them. After speaking with one of the concierge, she emailed me a written confirmation. I showed this to the shuttle contact and we were on our way to the Mayan Palace with no big delays.

Perfect timing for all this information regarding the shuttle. I knew I needed to contact them three days before we arrived but your information is so much more through. We will arrive at the end of the month and plan to use the shuttle. Do you think we should just book our return trip to the airport once we arrive in Mexico or should it be arranged in advance? Any suggestions as to who we should use? Thanks.
