Dear Folks - we get tired of always buying small sizes of condiments and staples in a local supermarket when we travel - they seldom get used up, and therefore are wasted, since we do not want to take home opened mini-jars of ketchup, mayo, etc. We just found a great site called www.minimus.biz - they supply all kinds of things in little travel packages, and at what we think is a more economical way to go. If anyone knows of other sites like this - please share! Some things I must have form home, in my own brands - as do we all - but we think that this will help us on the next vacation - IF my surgeon is OK with today's MRI of my knee - again . . . (four vacation canceled so far this year - I seem to be the Typhoid Mary of Timeshares).

Oops - that's www.minimus.biz - just went back to correct it.

Wouldn't it be great if all timeshare areas had someone in the vacinity that would supply soemething like this. Also to have available to buy at checkin or to order to have done ordered prior to.

Like the time I went to St. Geroges Bermuda, were you could order things for your unit ahead of time and it was there when you arrived.

Hey, it would be a great business for someone to start up, along with letting you ship boxes down with items not allowed on airlines, or too heavy to chech in or carry on, although I've been able to do that at Myrtle Beach.

Some Worldmark resorts offer a grocery delivery service. Place your order online about three days before check-in and your groceries will be in the unit upon your arrival.

If you're willing to break the stuff down into smaller units, many of these things are available through local reastaurant supply stores - if you know someone that owns a restaurant, you may even be able to have them purchase them for you. Some of the individual containers are available at warehouse clubs to (BJ's carries individual cream cheese, creamers, sugar packets, and some other items).

Wow, I find this interesting. When in Mexico we try to eat as they do. My DH biggest problem is coffee so we take our own. Otherwise, even on Isla Mujeres we are able to find pretty much everything. We can buy the littlest jars of mayo I have ever seen and they are about $1. I have also seen the same size jars of mustard, small catsup, etc. I have never seen A-1, but I never looked. Salad dressing is a little harder, but this year seemed to be more plentiful. We go for 3-4 weeks and try to go with the flow. Getting away from our traditional foods is kind of nice and certainly healthier.
