Does Vistana Villages have WiFi in room? The site claims its complimentary on site, but doesnt specify that its available in room?

yes, SVV has free wifi in every villa.

Although there is WIFI available in every building, some rooms have very poor signal and you have to move your computer around the room until you find a strong enough signal to sustain the wireless link.

We checked in at SVV last night and are staying at the St. Augustine phase. Very nice room, although with similar spotty WiFi coverage as in the older phases. I ended up connecting the computer to the wired connection rather than WiFi since it didn't quite work when I placed the computer on the dining table. In the room we are, the coverage is good close to the balcony but not close to the front of the villa.

It is the first time we've stayed at the St. Augustine phase. The rooms are very nice and well furnished, and it reminds more of a Westin than a Sheraton.

We're also in St Augustine... Our Wifi is working perfectly on the dining room table. Havent checked the balcony yet. Maybe tomorow morning during my coffee ill check the balcony signal. Our router is in the laundry room hanging above the door. I would assume the routers are installed in the same place for all units.

I suspect not all rooms have routers. I checked our laundry room and it doesn't have one. I'd assume all the buildings would have the ame arrangement for routers. Most likely they have them installed every other room or maybe every few rooms.

Just checked balcony and signal did not fade. Wifi will work anywhere in my unit.

Henry - have fun at WKORV. We were there in June and can't wait to go again. I'm sure we'll run into each other again somewhere just like last year.

What bldg are you in? I'm in bldg 23 and I guess we just got unlucky again with the WiFi reception. I doubled checked with my cellphone's WiFi and it is the same story - poor signal in the front half of the villa, so-so signal by the middle, and good in the balcony.

Ill assume the routers were strategically placed to cover as many rooms as possible with as few routers possible. So the one nearest your room is placed near the balcony. Im in 23, 3rd floor.

We are in the first floor. We might be using your router for what we know

Our signal has suddenly dropped. Haven't been able to browse smoothly for almost an hour now. Was trying to upload pics to twitter when it decided to slow down on me.
