Diamante Dunes Golf Course

I got an email, wondering if anyone else has gotten this or is familiar with this course. I will be in cabo in march.

The Diamante Dunes Course is officially a private facility for the exclusive use of its membership. Golf play is restricted to members only and is strictly enforced. All guests must play with a member or golf professional.

The developer of Diamante has awarded me the opportunity to offer you the chance to play the Diamante Dunes Course. You have been selected from an exclusive list for this “by invitation only” opportunity to play what is destined to become a Top 100 in the World Golf Course. This limited offer includes a tee time at $306.

Diamante Cabo San Lucas is proud to announce that Golf Magazine voted the Diamante Dunes Course as the #1 New International Golf Course in 2010. Golf Magazine: "..but for its relentless shot demands, sheer variety and stunning beauty, Diamante is our pick for the best course to open outside the U.S. in 2010."

Please feel free to contact me via email at rsvp@diamantelife.com to discuss this special invitation to play the Diamante Dunes Course.

Best Regards,

Fernando Castro

I wonder if this is the golf course that the PB Sunset Beach sales staff has been referring to the past several years as the one PB owners would have access to. It sounds like a private, members-only course and the $306 green fee is kind of steep.

If you go there in March, please post what you find out.

to be honest, I probably won't check it out. For one this verbage doesn't sit well with me "This limited offer includes a tee time at $306.". It includes that, what else does it include .. a presentation of some sort? timeshare, golf membership? And if I'm going to pay that much for a round it better be at St. Andrew's.

Golf Course

This is not the one by Sunset Beach. It is out of town a ways.

I also got the same email. They must have gotten a list of owners of Cabo Timeshares.

Diamante - Great Property but beware of timeshare scam!

We visited the Diamante for a Timeshare presentation in November. While we were tempted to buy we didn't. It really was a beautiful property and if you are a golfer, I think it's a paradise in Cabo.

The Diamante timeshare representatives, Andy Garcia and his cohort, Gustavo Muato, promised us an 8hr, 28-foot fishing boat with licenses and bait included in exchange for attending the presentation. Andy asked us to lie to the Diamante sales team on some details - which we begrudging did and should have know better than to do such a thing. After the presentation, Andy and Gustavo told us to meet them at dock the next morning and they took the timeshare presentation contract. They never showed the next day, we ultimately found they had set up a 26 ft boat for 5 hrs with no licenses or bait.

If you do decide to visit the Diamante for a timeshare presentation, make sure you do not use Andy or Gustavo and always keep the contract for proof of what was promised.
