Four Season aviara...need another week?

Tax sale in San Diego March 18 at Convention Center...pdf with weeks available at county website. Multiple weeks being auctioned.

I know the MF's are pretty high here, but can't you pick up cheap resale weeks on ebay, etc. I thought I saw a gold week for $2,500 not too long ago.

Anyone know how many years you must be in default on paying taxes before the tax guys do this ?? Not sure I can remember this been posted in other years ( but then I miss more than I read )

How does one tell which of the FSA tax sales are platinum use and which are gold?

Hi

You can't tell gold from platinum from this info. But even more important ... I wonder if you have any guarantee of clear title for any item. I have seen some bankruptcy sales were they make no claims on clear title -- who needs a unit like that ?

If these are being sold for a couple of years in back taxes ( I asked this question earlier - how many years ?? ) ... one has to assume there are a couple of years of missed MF's -- what is the true final cost??

This is a dead end in my books ... just an exercise in identifying the other TS listed on the sheet. It does point out the need for good planning by the HOA's to handle their default rates - as every default owner adds some burden to the remaining and it may not show up right away. Some interesting past threads on Hawaii TS for this ...some may just implode from the weight. At least in another thread I wrote that I have confidence in FSA since they have such a large war chest of reserve $$

Point to readers -- in Calif we pay taxes apart from MF's ... most other places you pay as a total amount. This tax receipt is handy to prove you live here (when discounts apply for 'local's ... ... I just wish we still had the local discount to play Torrey Pines ....that is now just for the city not county residences.
