Does anyone know what the price change, if any, on November 3 netted out to be for enrollment? Thanks!

I got the answer from the sales rep we spoke to this week:

"The enrollment surprisingly didn't go up yet. The price on points went up from 10.22 to 10.94 and the maintanence fee's on points went up 1 cent. from .40 a point to .41 a point."

I stand in amazement that Marriott has the garbanza's to raise either price or the exorbatant MF's on their trust at this point in time.

I agree. i would think that a top priority for MVCI would be to work with the HOAs to do everything possible to hold the line on maintenance fees across the system. Things are near the tipping point now, and their whole business model could come crashing down if MFs get much worse.

Marriott appears to be severaly out of touch with their ownership. For what I'm paying in MF's and the cash reserves Marriott is collecting, I shouldn't have an issue with ANYTHING in my unit. Yet what I'm experiencing in a building that's barely 10 years old is subpar to some of my non-Marriott ownerships. Needless to say, I'm not happy. I love my resort. I love it's location but, the LG TV has major issues with volume control and it appears the microwave has had a fire in it and should have been replaced. Marriott is charging top shelf prices for it's management and everything they put into the units and resort but I no longer feel I'm getting what I'm paying for.

I've never thought this in the past but, right now, I'm ready to give up the Marriott name and find another management company to clean the toilets. One that's a little more in touch with it's owners and cost containment.

Wedren't the enrollment prices supposed to stay stable until later this month? I thought the date was November 20th, but I could be wrong. Anyone know when the current enrollment offer expires?

I hear what everybody on this post is saying, but I think there's a whole other group of people that are buying into it: the uninformed (not the "misinformed") population that buys into the whole sales spiel during the presentation and gives into the pressure only to find out later what the real costs are. They don't have the convenience at that minute of looking on TUG to see what the real costs and concerns are.

I agree completely! Last week we were at the Surfwatch HHI presentation hub where all 8 resorts feed their sales into one center. It was packed! And people were getting out their checkbooks like crazy. I wanted to shout out "STOP"! But my sense of decorum over-rode my impetuousness.

With that said, we did enroll into DC but bought no points as the club will save us trading fees as we trade 2 units a year.

the LG TV has major issues with volume control

We also found issues with the LG TVs in the Ocean Pointe units. They had very dark displays and no amount of fussing with the settings would fix it. Not sure if it is low quality TVs or what, but we were not impressed with the TVs at Ocean Pointe.
