health insurance while vacationing in Mexico any tips

We will be making our annual trip to PV in about a month and have decided to look into health insurance since we are getting older and because I broke my foot while in Mazatlan years ago. At that time I was employed and my company's health insurance reimbursed my costs.....not employed now and our current health insurance will not cover us outside the US. Are there any suggestions for good health insurance that hopefully we won't need...thanks in advance

We used AAA to get travel health insurance last summer. We did not need to use them, though, so I don't know how they would be if you had to submit a claim.
