Country Club Villas - Surfside Beach - Any recent info?

I'm thinking about a Country Club Villa purchase at Surfside Beach in SC, but there isn't any recent info in the review database. Can anyone - owner or exchanger - tell me anything about this development and whether it has "rebounded" from the negative-sounding information from several years ago?

We purchased a white week there in April 2004. 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. All units have been gutted and totally redone, new furniture, appliances and carpeting etc.

The roadway still remains to be done. Finances are slowing coming back up.

Country Club received a gold crown designation in Feb 2004. There is an in-house sales program (which we used) and the units are priced very well, in order to get new owners who will pay maintenance fees. e.g. a 2 bedroom, 2 bath was selling for $1,495 plus approx. $270 in closing. Country Club is very small but friendly. No real special activities but if you are looking for golf or a handy location while in the area this is it. They offer a free golf program. The owner pays the cart fees - they are about 23 to 26 per person).

White and blue owners can float their fixed week internally. We own week 9 but have stayed for week 44 and 45. We can float from 44 through 14. Of course, the maintenance fees must be paid in advance and for popluar times like November, March make sure to rerserve 12 months in advance.
