I forgot about this...

We're pleased to announce that we've added a significant amount of new inventory into our CLUB WYNDHAM Plus (CWP) portfolio! As of Jan. 11, 2013, more than 400 units at 11 former Associate Resorts, will officially become part of our CLUB WYNDHAM Access (CWA) product. This means new dots on the map for our owners!

Wyndham Anaheim
Wyndham Angels Camp
Wyndham Bison Ranch
Wyndham Galena

Wyndham Grand Lake
Wyndham Indio
Wyndham Lake of the Ozarks
Wyndham Pinetop

Wyndham Rancho Vistoso
Wyndham Taos
Wyndham Tropicana at Las Vegas

Thanks for the post. Not a real big surprise they are going into the Club Wyndham Access Trust and not directly to the Club Wyndham Plus trust.

I plan to stay at many of those. I stayed at Angels Camp a few months ago when it was an associate resort. I am staying there next month now that it is Wyndham. I'm curious if there will be any difference in the checkin process or anything else.

This was the subject of a long discussion here recently

Only a portion of the inventory at these resorts moved from Worldmark to Wyndham. They are now what Id call "shared resorts"; some Wyndham inventory and some Worldmark. A lot like Daytona and Avenue Plaza

I have never stayed at one of the shared resorts, so I am curious about if there is any difference now that it is shared instead of Worldmark.

One difference on the website, at least, is that when it was an associate resort, the website said there was a occupancy tax. Which amounted to about $10.00 a day for a 2 Bedroom. The Worldmark the Club website said the same. Now the Wyndham website doesn't mention it. Just wondering if they just forgot about the occupancy tax or if they won't be adding it. Plus I will also be curious about, over the years since it sounds like they are specific units that they will be going into Wyndham, will the units be upgraded differently, or will they look the same. I have seen postings about other shared resort where the Wyndham unit are decorated differently then the Worldmark units.

Which resort are you making reference to?

Stolen through the California Court System:crash:

If Side by Side Wyndham doesn't collect TOT (Transit Occupancy Tax) It's time for a new lawsuit

I am assuming the resort in question is Wyndham Angels Camp. I just called reservations and asked about the occupancy tax. They said there is one based on the room size but do not know how much it would be.

When I went to Angels Camp last November I paid about $10 per day occupancy tax which I was aware of because it mentioned on the Wyndham website and I called the resort to find out the amount. Now, the Wyndham website doesn't mention it. Either it is a oversight, or the are not collecting it.

I am sure the pay it. My question is, do the collect it.

Stayed at Galena in March 2012, no tax. Nice rooms but no resort grounds to speak of. Will go back if we can, closer drive than the Dells.

Tahoe South Shore

Tahoe South Shore has long been a shared resort. The basic floor plans are the same but the Wyndham units have slighly fancier finishes than Worldmark. Maybe granite instead of formica and TVs in all bedrooms instead of just Master.
