Hubby and I stayed at a lovely Fairfield Resort in Pompano Beach in January 2005. It was the Santa Barbara Resort & Yacht Club. There were two other Fairfield resorts in Pompano and another Fairfield Resort that was being built in Fort Lauderdale just a few miles south on Ocean Blvd (or Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd as it is called in Ft. Lauderdale).

Today I saw a listing on E-Bay for a Ft. Lauderdale Fairfield Resort and was very excited to see that it was the gorgeous one that we saw being built in Ft. Lauderdale. The address was listed as Fort Lauderdale too, but it was also being referred to as being in Pompano Beach, across the street from the beach. I am pretty sure they are selling a much older unit in Pompano Beach and leading you to believe that it is the brand new resort in Ft. Lauderdale directly on the beach.

The e-bay listing number is 4435931715. Anyone care to comment?

It appears they are selling a unit at Sea Gardens....a varied group of units with varied mixed reviews from TUG and TA......the picture of the building is no longer considered Sea Gardens...think called Ocean Palms now...when we went to sales meeting, it was Sea Gardens.

The units are in Pompano Beach, not Ft Lauderdale. They are a short dustance from the Santa Barbara and Royal Vista FFs...(Santa Barbara still closed..Wilma damage).

Costs of these usits are usually low, because maint & taxes are so high. I believe a non converted good week at Santa Barbara is listed on tug now for less than $1000. And, of course, the resale point values would also be low....maybe one of lowest...(.018 to .03 cents per point)

I think you need to read the ad very carefully....it has a lot of stuff that would come with any shack in that area...

That is exactly what I thought, that it was an older unit within walking distance from the Santa Barbara in Pompano. The ad mentioned Pompano Beach but screamed "FORT LAUDERDALE!" (and listed it as it's address) which is where the more impressive Fairfield Resort was being built.
