Royals new beach!!!!

Friday, 12 noon, the new beach in front of the Royal Mayan is 3/4 finished. It is unbelievable how nice and big the beach is!! The beach will be closed for 2-3 days because the pipes are on the beach heading north. But we will all be very happy with the results. Better than before.

The Islander and Carribean is done but still closed because of the pipes.
This has been a VERY interesting process to watch. Some have complained about the noice at night because of machines running, but hasn't bothered me.

Does it appear that the level of sand is back to where it used to be? Are there any rocks still visible at the water line?

I ENVY ANYONE THAT IS COMING TO THE ROYALS. THE beach is 60-70ft more and raised about 5-6 ft. NO rocks,, just flat and beautiful.
5PM and they are setting another line right at the Omni Hotel.

My husband has been in construction and is fasinated with this. He said this is a once in a life time thing to watch. Everyone is really excited about it.

Right now we have 2 forlifts, 4 bulldozers, 2 jeeps, and 2 trucks that hold the electrical things for night work, and a gasoline holer. I am in the M746 building beach front and it is all right under me. One of the best seats in the place.
The sides have been full all day with lookers and cameras so I am sure there will be a lot of photos later. I can't put them up on this lap top!!! Just happy to be one of the lucky ones to see this take place.

Nana, thanks for the update. We are sooooo excited that the beach will be done when we travel in April. We have never been to Cancun or stayed at the Royals. There were times we thought we'd made a mistake going to Cancun but we decided to hang tight and see what was going to happen and it's happening!!! :D
