My wife and I want to visit SMA in the fall and are looking for recommendations on where to stay and what to see. Apparently, there are no timeshares, but there are plenty of condos and homes--including B&Bs--for rent. Does anyone have a favorite they would like to recommend?

Since this will be our first time there, I am leaning toward a B&B to get a local perspective and help in learning the best ways to get around.

Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

We have stayed in SMA for the month of Feb. three separate times. You want to stay as close to the historical center as you can. We rented houses for the month through VRBO. You can rent condos and houses for shorter periods of time.

We love SMA. You should be able to find something for autumn easily. Winter is usually more popular but I would love to be there for Day of the Dead.

If you have more questions, please PM me and I will try to help.

It would be more useful if you can share any contact numbers of them to talk to them before going there about the bookings and other things.
