I won't catch the one on the 12th. It conflicts with the opening show for this season's Sopranos.

It's actually not the best beache, because they don't recognize a beach twice. So it's actually "the best beaches (excluding all beaches that are better)".

How very true, Steve.

My favorites, including Mauna Kea, Hilton Head and St. John, don't have a chance of being picked again.

Here is the list for 2000-2003 and a link for 2004.

The Travel Channel's "best" shows are funny. I watched one show where the #2 beach in the world was in Hawaii. (Sorry can't remember which one). Then a couple of days later they did a Hawaii's best beach show and the same beach was #7 or something like that. How can the same beach be #2 in the WORLD and #7 in HAWAII? Go figure.

Gayle

Could use some of that beach weather right now. Watching snow flakes land among my daffodils and blooming flowering cherry trees. Not sticking though. Very weird for Washington in March.

Actually, now Travel Channel doesn't rank their beaches next to each other, they describe best beach to...

soak up beach culture - Laguna Beach
for nature lovers - in US VI

forget the other categories, but some of the beaches were ...
South Beach, Miami
Ocracoke Beach, VA
Hamptons, NY

Resorts: Swan Mountain (Keystone), Evergreen (Vail), Sapphire (St Maarten) - odd years
If a beach does not have CLIFFS it does not belong on the list....
(one of the reason we will never go to Florida again is that all the beaches are the SAME....and all so DULL)
