I noticed in my history this morning that I have the option to purchase E-Plus on a pending request using a Marriott deposit. I attempted a dummy exchange with a Marriott just to make sure the option is there as well and it is. They must have recently added it.

What is an E plus?

That's the grade you get when you didn't quite study hard enough to get that D- :D

Actually with E-Plus, you can retrade in II up to 3 times for a low one-time fee.

More fees, more fun

Normally if you change your mind about your exchange and you did not buy insurance, you forfeit the exchange fee and get your week back. Then that week can not be re-used more than once. That is if you do an exchange with a turned back week it is final. Now you can pay 49 and exchange up to 3more times. I used it when I had a change of plans and was able to trade the unwanted week on very short notice for a more favorable week.

If you belong to the DC it wouldn't apply to M to M exchanges as they are free anyway. It would be applicable to Marriott owners not enrolled in the DC and presumably to DC members exchanges to non Marriotts.

You could have still performed an unlimited amount of retrades without cancelling but of course paying an exchange fee each time. If you cancel instead and get your week back via a replacement you supposedly cannot cancel again but you are still able to do retrades. You can even add E-plus but the 1 year expiration on the replacement week applies and overrides the E-plus expiration.

Correct, and the EPlus option isn't even an option when going through the confirmation process for a Marriott to Marriott exchanges in the corporate II DC account.

I even attempted a Marriott to non Marriott trade, the EPlus option is there on the "Exchange Preferences" screen where you select the insurance and/or guest certificate. So it seems that the EPlus option is not even available for the Marriott DC accounts.

Just correcting an incorrect statement here.
