Question rental car insurance

Should we buy the additional rental car insurance in UK? We will be renting a car in England and drive it to Scotland.

Collision Damage Waiver is included in all of Auto Europe's "Inclusive" rates. "Inclusive" rates will also include Theft insurance in most cases.
If the credit card covers CDW, do we need to buy the "Inclusive" rates?

How about liability insurance and any other insurance we should buy?
Personal Accident Insurance
Personal Effects Protection
Additional Liability Insurance

Thank your for your advice!

credit card - I would check with the credit card company about this. I have no experience with out of country coverages.

Personal Accident Insurance - check with your health insurance carrier, most will cover no matter where, but check to make sure.

Personal Effects Protection
Additional Liability Insurance
- Many cases your home owners insurance will cover if you have such. - again, check with your insurance carrier or agent.

Auto Insurance

In the past I have added rental insurance to my personal auto insurance and have saved considerably from what the rental company charges. You might want to call your broker and see what the cost is and what the coverages are. It's quite possible you might already have the coverage. On another occassion my broker added it to my policy and removed it when I returned and it didn't cost a cent.
