so how do I use the points I have accumulated????

sorry but I don't remember what they can be used for

You don't have to use or lose your points right now if you join with IgoUgo. Or if you would rather redeem your points at IgoUgo, you can do that, too. Btw, they have a bit more reward choices than RCI Community.

Anyway, I joined IgoUgo and it was real simple. To do this- you simply sign in at IgoUgo with your RCI Community's email address and password. Then it will prompt you if you want to transfer your journals and points to IgoUgo. The points and journals were transferred over instantly. I'm happy to say I was able to redeem my points for 5,000 AA miles. Woo Hoo!!

Just to follow up. I have redeemed my points for AA miles on 3/14th through IgoUgo. My miles have already posted!!!

It took six weeks for my miles to post through RCI Community. I'm sure it would have taken longer if I hadn't emailed them about it.

Kudos, IgoUgo!!!

Could you please explain what you are talking about?

Thanks

RCI has a website called the RCI Community. You did not need to be a RCI member to join, and it provided some info on membership, and resorts.

Another site called IGOUOG www.igougo.com was around before RCI decided to start the RCI Community, but RCI used IGOUGO as an engine (powered by) to help with some of the various sections.

THe biggest- and to many- the most important- was the reviews of resorts and places the site carries. It was not just related to T/Ss, but to hotels, areas, stuff to do, dining.

As a poster put in the review info (or even joined), they were paid by a points system (not RCI points). Now RCI (I guess because of the spin offs) will TRANSFER the points earned by posting on the RCI site to the IGO site.

The first message I recieved was that only the reviews would be closed. Now it appears the entire site may be shut down (Thats a mistake, I think RCI gets a lot of traffic)

Also part of the site lead to a RCI BBS....which is not used by many...but RCI does have a BBS (Does II?) and Madge also answers questions there:
