Hilton Checkers, Los Angeles

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? For those who have and are Hhonors Club members, was there a club floor and/or lounge? Thanks, Kildahl.

only once for one night

sorry, can't answer your second ?? about the lounge, but the hotel itself was fine. the rooms were clean & nice but a bit on the small side. i'd imagine all downtown LA highrise hotels would fare the same though. food at their onsite restaurant was also good. hope this helps.

DH and I stayed there 2 1/2 years ago, so I don't know if things have changed. I was Gold status at the time. No lounge; they gave us breakfast vouchers to use at the restaurant (which is a very good restaurant known in the downtown area). The room we had was very compact -- it was tough because the 5 nights before that stay we had a 1BR unit at the Four Seasons Aviara. I asked for an upgrade (as I often can get a jr. suite at other Hiltons) but nope. Overall it was not a very good experience service wise as well because there were a few mistakes of erroneous room service charges that did not get corrected until check-out day, among other things. I've heard some good reviews about this place before our visit but with so many other options we will not be returning to Checkers the next time we have to stay in downtown LA area. Have you checked Flyertalk.com boards for current reviews and HHonors elite status experiences? Also check tripadvisor.com's reviews.
