How is 1BR w/Loft categorized w/RCI & II?

My son is looking at The Villas of Sedona. It is a 1BR w/Loft that "sleeps 6". My understanding is there is a bedroom downstairs and an open loft upstairs which has a full/queen bed. He is concerned that even though technically it sleeps six, for trading purposes would it be listed with RCI or II as just a 1BR?

I can't answer your question directly but I can guess.

We own a studio-loft. a studio with a loft upstairs with a queen bed and bath. In both RCI & II it trades as a 1 bedroom. It evens trades as a 1 bd with SFX.

So I believe that the villas of sedona 1+loft will trade as a 2 bd.

(( just checked on the II website the only room which sleeps 6 is a 2 bd. Where as RCI has both 1 bd & 2 bd sleep 6))

It's what I told my son that it would probably trade as. Too bad, really, as it is "almost" two bedrooms and certainly sleeps more than a 1BR.

It will trade as a 1 bedroom because the sleeping area for the loft is not private.
