Re: Harbor Town Resort in Hilton Head???

I think you are referring to the Harbour Town Yacht Club with an II designation of HY1 (HYI is a Hyatt). If so, the units are somewhat dated, but the location - in the heart of Harbour Town - is tough to beat, unless you need a beach.

Several restaurants, numerous shops, evening entertainment and great views are literally at your doorstep. Expect a fair amount of noise in your unit well into the night because of the significant foot traffic below your windows.

You're on the water, but there is no adjacent beach. The beach is about two miles away.

This is not a popular resort, possibly because of the age of the units. As proof, check out the II Getaways for this resort. You can almost always get a Getaway at this resort for almost any week of the year. There are currently multiple Getaway weeks available at this resort for every summer week except July 4th week. Try that for any other Hilton Head resort!

Yes, I am referring to the Harbour Town Yacht Club. HY1. Thanks for correcting me. Also thanks for the information.
I found it in the Getaways and was wondering why there were so many units available in the summer.
We are looking for a nice getaway on or near a beach for the last week of August. We have never been to Hilton Head and wanted to see it. I can't put in for an exchange for I gave my week to my son for his honeymoon, so that leaves getaways or a rental. We will be going with my sister and husband and unfortunately, she is a teacher and September is not an option. I keep telling her to change careers, LOL....
