Hello,

I have recently purchased points through several Ebay auctions and have a few questions. The sellers all have close to 100% positive ratings, but I'm a little confused. My last purchase was 360,000 Biennial Points. The original resort is a Geo-Holiday resort in Canada. Am I eligible to have VIP status or is this the equivalent of having 180,000 points a year?

The points start in 2007. When is the earliest I can make reservations?

Is St. Thomas very difficult to reserve for the summer?

Thank you for help.

For the purpose of considering VIP status, 360,000 Biennial Points would be considered like 180,000 annual points. Regardless, the Fairfield policy is that points purchased on resale are not eligible to count at all toward VIP status.

If your points will be awarded in January 2007, then you may use them to stay at Fairfield resorts between Jan 1, 2007 and Dec 31, 2007. You may call Owner Services to request reservations up to 10 months ahead of your planned check-in date.

For example, supposed you wanted to vacation at a Fairfield resort:
With a desired check-in date of July 28, 2007,
you would use your year 2007 points to reserve it and
you could call Owner Services anytime after May 28, 2006 (10 months ahead).

St. Thomas is very difficult to reserve anytime. There are very few points owners there (most own fixed weeks) and consequently, there's limited inventory available for points reservations. It may be possible to get on the Rotating Priority List to be assigned an early date for calling in a reservation. This is explained in the Member Directory.
