Port O'Call/HHI any current feedback?

If anyone has stayed there recently, I would like to hear from them. I'm considering renting a 3BR freestanding unit for the end of June.
I've been in Shipyard before and have seen POC from the outside.

I have friends who have gone to HHI for vacation for as long as I've known them. About 5 yrs ago they bought a 3 BR at Port o Call. They love it.

Hi , we just returned from a 3Br unit in POC in late OCt, earlyNov. and had a great time. We loved all the room and the privacy. Actually, we preferred it to the other units in the bldgs. Some have porches to go out on, ours didnt. but we overlooked the lagoon. I would have to check the number of the unit but check the resort writeups.. I wrote one and described the 3br in more detail. I think you will be very pleased... we stayed there twice and loved it.

We are just home from POC. Stayed in a 2 bedroom. #702.
Can email me if you wish.
Our first week was @ Waterside which we preferred.
Only my opinion coz Iam not an in the woods person.
Nothing wrong with the units

We weren't impressed with the 2 bedroom last summer, but would definitely consider the 3 bedroom, those units looked awesome. The walk to the beach is a few blocks, closer than most t/s on the island, with the exception of the on-the-beach-Marriotts.

Thanks for feedback, all.
When we stayed at Carolina Club on Shipyard 2 years ago, I scouted out the island and liked the idea of staying in a 3 BR at Port O'Call. I know it's got great proximity to the beach, with its private gated walkway, which was one of my reasons, but the unit itself looked really cute from the outside.
I'll let you know Avery, as we plan to take it.

Irene, I think you will be happy with it. The place had a nice feel to it, was conveniently located mid-island, and those units are really supposed to be nice. I also checked out the beach, it was nice and quiet there.

We have stayed at both CC & POC. Carolina Club cottages are larger. Both are nice, but I prefer Carolina Club. We are at Southwind this week, May 20-27. We have a 2 bedroom unit on the golf course. It's lovely.

The POC Cottages were just refurbished last year. They should be in great shape. They are very spacious and have a neat 2 story layout.
