HHI Weather 1st Week of October - Timeshare Users Group Online Community Forums

We will be staying at Waterside by Spinnaker from September 30 to October 7. What kind of weather can we expect? Is it warm enough to enjoy the beach, not necessarily swimming, but sitting on the beach and reading a good book? What else besides playing golf can you recommend?

We will be at Marriott Barony Beach the same week. Last year we went end of October and it was mid 50- high 60's. Only 1 beachday that was decent but lots of people at the beach anyway with jeans and sweatshirts. The week after we left it was close to 80.
This year we are there a month earlier. Normally we go late May to early June and it is high 80 to low 90's for the times we went.

There is golf,shopping,wonderful bike paths,kayaks,dolphin and harbor tours,jazzclub and tons of restaurants of every kind. A movie theater,video stores ,Sam's Club,Walmart and at least 5 grocers. Beer and wine are sold in the grocer,not so where we live. Liquor stores close very early Saturday not so where we live either. I don't think they are open Sunday. Many people visit Savannah or Charleston on daytrips.

No street lights or lit signage so I suggest you drive around a bit in the daytime.

A stop at the Welcome center after the causeway and next to a Crazy Crab restaurant is recommended and be sure to pick up the HH restaurant guide,menus,pricing and phone numbers.

Your resort is in a nice location near lots of things. The island is gorgeous,we love it.

October is a great time to be on the island the temps should in the 70's.
Plus the beach crowds are long gone. Enjoy your week on the island.
