Does anyone know if you can check on the status of your deed being recorded with the county. I like to stay on top of things and I want to get that deed ASAP so I can fax it to the resort, which they have recommended I do in addition to it being sent by the recorders office in order to expedite the ownership transfer so that I can make my reservations. I am HUGE into planning and it's killing me to wait for this process. The realtor told me it would take approx. 2 weeks to record the deed but I have heard it could take up to 60-90 days! Yikes. As always, your expert advice is appreciated!

Orange County FL Timeshare Deeds

If your timeshare is on the Orange County side of the line, you're in luck -- you can just click here to get to the searchable on-line database of Orange County FL deeds, mortgages, & I don't know what-all.

We found our new timeshare deed by doing a search there last week -- even viewed a PDF of the newly recorded deed & printed that out.

If your timeshare is on the Osceola County side of the line, I don't know what you do -- do a Google search, I suppose, to see whether Osceola County has a similar on-line records search available.

Good luck.

Last year when I bought my timeshare resale the recorded deed was sent to me by the closing company fairly quickly. My timeshare is in Ca. so you pay the taxes separate, I never got a bill come November and I have to say it was the must frustrating and time consuming process to find out how to pay that bill. I closed in May of 05 and as of 11/05 the county had not processed it into my name. I was finally able to pay the bill under the previous owners name I have my fingers crossed that Riverside county will finally put it in my name and send the bill to the right place this coming Sept
Good luck with yours I am sure it will be worth the wait.

Does anyone know if Sheraton Vistana is Orange or Osceola? I couldn't find it in Orange County yet.

Looks Like Orange County

It's right close to the edge of the map I was looking at -- Page 85 of the 1997 DeLorme Florida Atlas & Gazetteer -- but even so it sure looks like Vistana Orlando is in Orange County FL.

Did you call'm up & ask what county they're in?
