Seafood in Va Beach?

Some friends of mine are going to VA Beach and love seafood. I know nothing about the area. Where do you recommend? TIA Shaggy

Steinhilber's Thalia Acres Inn. It is not near the oceanfront.

Re: Seafood in Va Beach?

We ate at the large resturaunt at the inlet and were less than impressed (not sure of the name) - I had crab cakes & new england clam chowder.

We had a really good all you can eat at Capt George's Seafood Rest. which I thought was much better than the one in Williamsburg.

I like the one in Williamsburg - I really like the one in VA Beach. My favorites are king crab legs, steamed shrimp and small steamed clams - those must have been good.

Rockafeller's & Rudi's on the Inlet are 2 of my favorites now that my absolute favotite, The Lighthouse, is gone.

The Virginian Pilot's "Best of Hampton Roads" polls are in. The best seafood restaurants in Va. Beach are: the Lynnhaven Fish House, Capt. Georges' and Charlie's sSeafood Restaurant in the order. To find the rest of the best throughout the area Click Here

Re: Seafood in Va Beach?

One of our favorite restaurants is mostly a locals place, and is somewhat out of the way. Located in the Pungo section of Virginia Beach, the restaurant is:

Seacrest Restaurant
1776 Princess Anne Rd
Virginia Beach, VA 23456
(757) 426-7804

Pungo is about 20 minutes from the VA Bch boardwalk, but the food is soooo worth it!

Making a list of favorite restaurants for our upcoming VA Beach trip. Lynnhaven Fish House, is that on Shore Drive or Starfish Rd. I did a search and come up with Fish House and also Lynnhaven Seafood and Marina.

Are these the same or different restaurants?

Also we plan on going there to check out deep sea fishing (party boats), both at Lynnhaven and at Rudee's Inlet

Any other info will be appreciated

Lynnhaven Inlet is inside Chesapeake Bay so your travel time will be longer than from Rudee Inlet. That means less fishing time. The best deep sea fishing area is around the Cigar Reef, about 60 mi. out. Tuna, marlin and other large species can be caught there.

If you like sushi, go to the Virginia Beach Town Center. Zushi is the name of the place and the sushi, and steaks, are fabulous, as are the drinks. Ever try a pineapple upside down cake martini?
