Hello,

I'm interested in knowing if anyone has recently bought from corporate FF and would be willing to share the cost of a point. I'm sure this varies by resort but have no idea what to expect.

I'm interested in PIC ing in my two 3bedroom redweeks to get to VIP gold status. So I'm interested in knowing how many retail points I'll need to do this and what price to expect to pay?

I'd also like to know what resorts would be good to buy in and why? Maitenance fees? Age of property? Trade reasons?

Thanks for any answers.

Ayear and a half ago we bought into Cypress Palms just so we could PIC our Myrtle Beach week (105,000 pts). We bought 168,000 EOY. By doing this we are getting 189,000 per year. We would have had to by another 75000 (I think) point block to PIC our other week. So I think you have to average around that amount per PIC per year. They sell their points in blocks so that you can't buy exactly what you need, you have to buy the next bigger block of points. Depending on where you buy, you are looking at a minimum of around $15,000.

We just bought 126,000 Fairfield points at Bonnet Creek so that we could get into the points system. We paid $16,896 for them. We were then able to PIC our 2 bedroom red week at Orange Lake CC and our 3 bedroom red week at Port 'o Call. That brings us up to the VIP gold level. Since we're so new to the point system, I can't really tell yet if we'll be happy with this purchase. We had already turned our 2007 weeks in for two trades to Quebec, so we won't get any PIC points until 2008.

I searched and couldn't find ... what does PIC stand for?
