Eagle's Nest Marco Island - Am I being too picky?

We are searching for Marco Island for the second week of December of this year. I've thrown back two Surf Club units, ending in 9 and 11, which are not water views. My II search matched with unit 306 at the Eagle's Nest, which is one of the two resorts where we wanted to get in.

Does anyone have any experience about whether you get the unit deposited or whether I can wheedle a higher floor? It's not a busy time of year, I have good traders in both II and RCI. I'm just concerned that the townhouses may block our view of the Gulf completely.

Searching six months out is really last minute for me. Should I keep this or are chances pretty good that I'll have a fair number of other choices if I throw it back?

I am at the Eagle's Nest right now. Unit 306 surprisingly has an oceanview. I went to the pool in the courtyard and looked backed at #306. #305 is able to see through the center of the courtyard. #306 is blocked in the front by the roof of the villa building, but is able to see pretty well obliquely through the courtyard. The trees do not block seeing across the courtyard from #306. The best views are from the 5th floor and above. I think that you do get the unit deposited. I have a nice view from the 10th floor.

Kkan, How's the view look from Villa Unit 2106? Any chance of seeing rhe beach, or just the Courtyard? Your feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Pointhound

For the other poster, I believe you get the exact unit when you trade into Eagles Nest.

Well, I'm the original poster and as my post was from last June, yes, we did have a view, especially since we were moved up a floor.

Have you done a search on Eagle's Nest? I know there have been some posts with a photograph posted with explanation of where units are.

2106? I would think that might be in the units "up front", not in the tower.

I just got back from Marco,stayed at Charter Club but previewed Eagle's Nest and I have a map. 2106 is a villa near the tower in Phase I. Looks like a 1 bedroom.

Very nice place and when we sent my MIL there 2 yrs ago she got the unit on the confirmation sheet 1006.
