We will be heading to HHI from the north (I-95) and are looking for a hotel within a 45 minute drive or so to the island. Preferably a property with a pool and complementary breakfast. We're making our first trip to HHI and are hoping to get every minute of beach time we can.

We have often stayed at the Hampton Inn on the island and it has a complimentary breakfast and pool. It was recently remodeled and just fine. Rates are pretty good. Look on the Hilton site. There is also a place near Sun City, Hilton Head which is just off the interstate. Also a Hampton Inn, but off the island. I would check rates on both.
