The company has now confirmed that some 230 people aboard a cruise ship fell ill with a gastrointestinal illness during a weeklong Caribbean voyage.
Apparently a norovirus was brought onto the Mariner of the Seas by a passenger. It struck over 220 of the ship's 3,660 passengers and six of its 1,202 crew members. So much for the pleasures of mass cruising. Kola |

Re: Royal Carribean Mariner of the Seas
I guess it is pretty much like flying! Last year we had such a flu epidemic here in Florida brought (probably not all of course) in main from our returning snowbirds. Each person that flew with the flu (love that one) infected a number of other people aboard and there ya go!!! Linda
Won't stop me from cruising any more than it would flying. |
