Resorts: durban sands and sudwala in south africa
anyone know anything about Myrtle Beach resort.

A buddy of mine wants me to join him in a golf vacation to Myrtle Beach in November and says that he has booked the Myrtle Beach resort, a two bedroom. I can't seem to find anything on tug about it and it is probably because it might be a hotel and not a condo. If anyone can tell me anything about it, I would appreciate any info.
thanks

Could this be it?:

http://www.myrtle-beach-resort.com/r...FUKMOAod7SjVcQ

I don't like the name. It makes me think of what some realtors do in Sea Pines on HHI....they give a generic name o a group of specific places (un named resorts) that might be OK...or not so hot....as you can't find the specific name, you can't find any info, as it would vary from whatever resort they decided to give you. (some have pools, some don't, some are excellent maint, some are not).

Hey!! They are selling pre construction beachfront condos (all year) from $125,000.

If you do go...you need to let us in on if this is a tent in the sand

I will let you know about Myrtle Beach Resort the end of August. My g.f. went on line (homeaway) I think, and found this resort for the mid of August. Said she em'd the guy and got it for 627.00 for the week (all taxes, etc included). I find that hard to believe since the online price was over $1000.00 for the week. And a 2br condo. It is on the other side of 501 heading towards Surfside Beach. It is right on the beach.

BTW both are suppose to be condos with kitchen, etc

Also, she found Patricia Grand (same site but different person) for her son and friends A 1br for 750.00 with a 200. Sec dep since they are under 25yrs old. Patricia Grand is more centrally located (near Broadway at the Beach) Also ocean front condo

Check the senior rates!

Too bad most here don't want to qualify:

http://www.myrtle-beach-resort.com/seniordisc.htm ($950 3 b3d 3 bath penthouse per month less tax

Further searching indicates beachfront condos for sale at $100,000.....

Also for reviews: (not so positive):

I am pretty sure the Myrtle Beach Resort is in Surfside Beach, just south of Myrtle Beach. It is flanked by several large campground resorts (where we usually stay), and is on the ocean. It's older, but not bad. My son stayed there a year or two ago.

The Myrtle Beach Resort is a complex consisting of 4 or 5 condo buildings. All owned by individuals or the resort itself. It is not timeshare so the condos are not cosistent in decor. The resort is gated. Offers 2 outdoor pools, a lazy river, two or three indoor pools, tennis courts, playground, basketball court, snack bar and various activities. Parking is fairly tight and there is a $5 per week charge per vehicle.

I have stayed there in a two bedroom two bath condo. It is not the Marriott, but you are not paying Marriott prices to stay there. We had a great time. Our kids especially enjoyed it because we were able to set off fireworks on the beach which is not allowed in Myrtle.

Trip was great..Golf courses were busy but we did get to play some nice ones. The resort was just fine. It was on the older side but the price was great so we all enjoyed it. Parking was free, contrary to the $5 fee someone mentionned. They let us check in at 1 O'clock so we got some golf in the afternoon. As mentionned, it was in Surfside but no problem. Gated community was great. Backed the van up to make it easier to load on the getaway day and got a ticket..It was actually just a warning.
thanks again to all tuggers
