US Air Sale Boston - Sav $96
Normally we fly into Jacksonville from Providence RI because it is so so much cheaper than Savannah when we vacation in Hilton Head. Boston to a lot of places are now 100-200 cheaper than flying from Providence. Not sure if the Big Dig issues are the reason. PVD fares are 300-400 vs BOS 100-250. Normally this is the reverse.
US Air current fares for 96 w/o tax each way right now through fall BOS -SAV. This is the cheapest I have ever seen. There are also higher fares so you have to watch them because they fluctuate daily. Two days prior there were only 1-2 openings at that price on 10/7/06 return flight. At midnight yesterday there were 6 -8 flights for that price. Alrhough I use Sidestep,Kayak,Travelocity and Expedia to compare prices the direct airline site showed less expensive rates and many more flight options. Posted this here rather than travel because of the east coast airports.
