Massanutten Owners Card

We are owners at Mountain Side Villas and last November I heard about the Massanutten owners ID cards. We bought the unit as a resale and the only cards we knew about were the little paper ones they pass out during check-in. The Mountain Side Villas board representatives said we just needed to stop by the office during the week to have our pictures taken.

What are the cards used for? At our Barrier Island station timeshare we have owners cards and can use the pool and weight rooms anytime we are in the area. Any discount on golf with the card or does the card just make a handy bookmark?

We have an RCI exchange into Wood Stone in December and I was reading about horrible lines during check-in. Can my wife use the card to wait in the pool/hot tub area while I check us in?

The Gold cards are made in an office in the building with the store across from the Woodstone Meadows checkin and activity building. It only takes a few minutes but they are closed on Saturday.

The cards have your picture and are laminated but are used for the same things as the little yellow card they give you at checkin. The only difference is that the are usable at any time of the year, whether you are staying there or not. So yes, your wife should be able to wait in the hot tub while you checkin.

Note: In some cases, the discounts are actually better with the little yellow card than with the Gold card. The RCI discount was better than the owner's discount for skiing.
