Resorts: Colonial Acres (wk. 35), Bushmen's Nek, SA
Seascape or BIS-Kitty Hawk?

I know that neither are near the beach, however if you could chose one for a late summer vacation with 2 children (8 and 5) which would you chose and why?

I would select BIS - Kitty Hwk more activities for the children. Also, I would shoot for a three bedrooms villas. This will give you the lock-out unit. BIS-Kitty has a very nice indoor poor. In the last two weeks in NC and VA it has been hot, humid and hazy. Average temperatures was about 95 degrees. Also, BIS - Kitty Hawk is located in front of a Super Wal - Mart. Seacapes is located off the main highway.

I own at SeaScape, but recommend BIS Kitty Hawk for the kids- newer units with more to do. Getting to the beach is easy and they will give you a parking pass for the beach lot at check-in, literally a minute or two away.

These are usually the last two resorts left on the shelf either with the local t/s rental agency or with exchange companies, precisely because they are a good way off the beach. Seascape is a bit closer to the beach, although you still really have to drive, and has an adjacent golf course, which may be a plus if someone in your party is a golfer, but the golf priveleges are only for owners; exchangers have to pay full freight to use the course. BIS-Kitty Hawk does have newer units and more amenities of the two.
