Has anyone stayed at Grand Summit Resort Hotel-Mt. Snow recently?

The last reviews were two years ago and only one positive and one negative review are in the review section. We want to stay in southern New Hampshire or southern Vermont for one week.

Thanks.

DH and I stayed there in June when he went to tennis camp at Stratton. Is there anything specific you want to know?

Thanks, Kay. I have it on hold. It is a 2 bedroom 10/6. Are the units nice? Do they have elevators? Washer dryers? Would this be a convenient location to use as a central point to visit southern Vermont and New Hampshire? We are going to spend the next week at Smuggler's Notch.

I just wanted someone to say, yes it is a good resort since the last review was two years ago.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Sandy

Yes it is a nice resort. I haven't seen the 2 BRs but we own at Killington and the rooms are pretty similar. Yes, there are elevators but the hotel is only 3 or 4 stories high and a main laundry room with coin operated washers and dryers but no washers and dryers in the units. Nice size swimming pool with adjacent hot tub.

Wilmington is a cute little town to browse in about 20 min from Mt Snow and there is a museum there that we wanted to visit but was closed the day we were there. Maybe that was Bennington, but close none the less. Stratton, a ski and tennis village, about 45 min away has some cute shops and Manchester has great name brand outlets if you are big shoppers. I can spend a day at Manchester with all the outlets and a few nice places for lunch. The outlets are spread out so you can get your exercise while shopping .

Killington is about an hour away and Woodstock about 1/2 hr further. Woodstock is nice to browse the shops and eat lunch.. Lots of nice places to stop and browse while driving these mountain roads.

The Summit is actually off the beaten path. I think it is hard to find and desolate but DH disagrees.

We usually grocery shop in Bennington at a supermarket before we get to the resort but they have a deli which also sells small items you may have forgotten and a restaurant on the premises but we've never eaten there. We usually go up the road (rt 100) and eat at one of the local restaurants or go into Wilmington.

Not a lot of activity if it isn't ski season but a nice place to stay for daily sight seeing or just hanging back.

They have free internet access. Just ask at the desk when you check in and they will give you the code to access.

They have a spa for lots of massage treatments and a sauna. The sauna is free the spa is not. Also have a nicely equipped gym. (free)

If you have any more questions feel free to email me and I'll try to help. Enjoy your trip. When are you going?

Thank you, Kay. Your post is very helpful. We are looking at mid May. We like sweatshirt weather and don't like crowds and heat.
