One month to Williamsburg!!

It's countdown time! We will be in VA on the 8th of Sept. Our first nite will be in Newport News, then Sat. in Norfolk until check in time at Greensprings. A few questions for the seasoned veterans. What, other than the naval bases, is not to be missed in this area? We plan on touring the USS Wisconsin, the muesems, etc. We would like a nice dinner on the water, preferably seafood. We will be taking the naval base cruise. As far as Williamsburg, we will be buying at least a 2 day pass once we get there. I know we should plan on having at least one meal at one of the taverns. Any other must do? Finally, should I e mail Greensprings and request any special unit? We would like the top floor, and would like to be near the hot tub, other than that, no special requirements. Should I just take my chances? Someone once said that half the fun of the vacation was in the planning. I have to agree!! Thanks in advance for all the help.

I looked all over....also can't confirm. But I did find out what the bangers between the knockers are.

Much too liberal place for us tuggers....if its still open.

Darn...I missed it. (Was only going to check it out for everyone else)

Trip Advisor has taken it off their lists (was # 60). The forums there say it is closed....

....as is the 5 star Fords Colony restaurant in the Fords Colony CC where the Marriott Manor Club is. (That's just reported...said due to mold & mildew in dinning room....but then they moved the grill room to that location???)

Nothing above is confirmed. Its just what was noticed under Williamsburg Trip Advisor info.

Ask for a unit near the outdoor pool. These are the newer units. Make sure you have plenty of water. It is Hot there in the Summer. You can also ask for a Golf View.

Which one would be better - Haunted Dinner Theater or Mystery Dinner? They both sound good, but don't think we will have time for both. Thanks.
