See my post in this thread for a list of 2007 spring vacations by state. As a cautionary note: As noted in my post, not all states have uniform vacation dates within the state and, thus, the vacation dates are only representative.

Every county around here is on a different schedule. I have kids in both the city and county school systems and they aren't even the same. This year they're closer than normal and their breaks are usually the same, but one usually starts and ends a week later than the other.

Dave look at the schedules - they vary more than what you implied.

Spiceycat -

If the following doesn't help explain my intent, could you clarify what you mean by your statement so that I can respond properly?

The dates in my schedule in my link are actual spring vacation dates for 2007. At least two significant school districts in each state have the listed spring vacation dates. In some states, all public schools have the same spring vacation dates. In other states, each school district decides on its own dates.

Thus, the dates in my schedule are intended to be representative - not comprehensive - of spring vacation dates around the country; thus giving those who wish to plan for or around spring vacation an idea of the dates that might impact them.

As shown in the schedule, there is a wide variance for spring vacation dates, although in most years they generally range from about mid-March to the third week in April.

The schedule is the latest version of one that I have prepared and posted on TUG annually for about five years in direct response to questions about “When is spring vacation next year?” The info is based on school calendars developed and published by various states and school districts (excluding the college level).

Stated another way and as stated in bold print at the top of my schedule, "Only sample dates for each state are reflected here." and "Please note that the dates are representative only...."

Thus, if your point is that (for example) some Florida school districts have 2007 Spring vacation dates that aren't listed in my schedule, I think I have clearly disclosed that. There was no way I could develop or include the details for Spring vacation for all 14,000 school districts in the U.S. Also, many school districts hadn't determined their 2007 dates yet when I prepared the schedule and first posted the 2007 version in April.

My schedule is intended only to aid those who seek help in determining when the most popular spring weeks would be for locations (such as Orlando) that draw vacationers from afar. However, your link, not mine, would be useful for those living in Florida who seek what week their kids will have as vacation next spring.
