Massanutten Summit - VCR or DVD? - Timeshare Users Group Online Community Forums

Do the units at the Summit have VCR's or DVD players? I don't know the name of the section we're in, but we have units 171UL.

I would be shocked if they have DVD players. Many new timeshares (built in the last 3 or 4 years) still have VCRs instead of DVDs.

I don't know why. Do you think these big timeshare companies have a huge stockpile of VCRs?

How is the cell phone reception at Massanutten? We have Verizon, Cingular and T-mobile among our group.

We get good Verizon reception all over Massanutten. We use AOL for dial up internet.

Cell phone service is great on the resort....a switch from several years ago. All of the tall fancy flag poles on property are actually new cell phone towers.

We just got back from a week at the Summit. Unit 457 U/L. Both units had DVD (living room) and VCR (2nd BR). The sad part is we called ahead of time and were told the units only had VCRs so we didn't bring any DVDs.

YOur right, Verizon had great coverage there.

Really enjoyed our stay. WaterPark rocks.

We were in Summit unit 200 something this past August - no DVD players only VCR.

Cell phone was fine - Verizon worked well all over - we noticed the flagpoles and figured those were for better cell reception

Cingular worked fine..no problems...and they have local dial in numbers for many internet providers...
