For interested owners, exchangers and renters, our Association Presient and fellow Tugger, John Chase, has just announced the following: "It's not a lot to see yet but we finally have an actual start to construction on the new laundry/maintenance building. See it here:

The timeline calls for completion by December 2006."
:whoopie: Other news from Cypress Pointe Resort is :
1. A brand new gift shop and cafe are coming! They are tentatively to be named as "Cafe Pointe" (featuring Starbucks<R> coffee) and "Gift Pointe". The old shops are now closed, but in the meantime, their comparable services continue to be available at our adjacent sister resort CP GrandeVillas.
2. The new clubhouse roof is finally complete. Next to begin in the clubhouse is the first total total remodelling of the lobby/check-in/Sunterra guest services areas. A separate, temporary check-in area will be designated while this remodelling is underway.
3. All CP Phase 1 residential unit buildings are in the process of getting new roofs, which is scheduled to start on 8/22/06 on Building 8.
4. The new laundry/maintenance/storage building mentioned above will replace the existing laundry/maintenance facility and the old tennis and shuffleboard courts. A new, adjacent entrance is being proposed/designed to keep all future deliveries away from the guest areas of the resort.
5. The CP Association BOD is in the process of buying the land at the site of the old Sunterra sales center (now an empty, vacant area) and will then create new tennis, basketball and shuffleboard courts, plus a covered picnic area. In the meantime, guests will continue to be able to play tennis at the adjacent CP GrandeVillas sister resort.
