Guest Certificate

Their has been discussions that some resorts do not
require or ask for a guest certificate. Has anyone had any experience with Sheraton Broadway Plantation in Mrytle Beach, South Carolina with this matter?

While I did not set out to do this, on one occasion my guests who were staying with me arrived ahead of time. In addition, I was going to be arriving later than planned. My guests would have had to wait 4-5 hours at the resort. I called the resort, explained the situation, and the resort allowed my guests to check in. When I arrived, I just went straight to the room. I never did check in a the front desk.

You could try calling the resort, telling them you be arriving a couple of days after your guests. Will they let the guests check in. You could probably gage by their response whether a guest certificate is really required.
