Hi Tuggers,
Just returned from 5 days at Jackson Gore resort in Ludlow. Couldn't find any good bicycle trails close by so ended up travelling to Killington and Mount Snow for are riding. Resort accomodations were roomy and clean with hardly any other guests in the resort. Not much to do close by or at the resort but relax, unfortunately for us construction was going on and all you could hear all day was tractors and construction going on. Although I understand the need to get things done especially in low season, I wasn't impressed with being awaken every morning at 6:45 AM to the sound of a back alarm on bulldozer/tractor moving gravel. Ended up leaving a couple days early, instead. If it wasn't a full exchange with a exchange fee i probably wouldn't have felt so peeved. Do you think I being picky or is this exceptable. By the way no pre-warning of construction before arrival. Interested in hearing what others think.

With no prewarning I would definitely lodge a complaint with RCI. I would certainly be upset if I had to leave early to get some sleep.

How did you enjoy the riding? Did you do any riding other than the lift served?

Wayne,
there are some great trails near Mount Snow, i think they were called crosstown and/or sherwood forest. All kinds of different variety really enjoy it. They have several different trails, Robin Hood, Maid Marion, Friar tuck and so on.........Some were hilly others were muddy, a great cross country network of trails. Talked to several locals around Ludlow but no one wanted to share the spots. My husband had a really good wipeout in Killington so we tried some hiking instead for the last couple of days. Other then the early mornings it was a good trip. Next year were going to try Smugglers Notch.
