Anyone been to Hilton Head Executive Golf Course? (by HH National)

Has anyone ever been to this course? Is it in reasonable condition?

Green fees are $15 for 9 holes and it looks like it would be a good length for the junior golfer in our family.

Also interested in hearing feedback on The Weed course at HH National.

Thanks.

It is rough. I viewed it for a friend last May who was trying to buy it to build condos. Mid Saturday morning there was no one on the course.

I think it is closed...it was sold & condos will be built. I'm not a great golfer
and we played there last year (November). I enjoyed it; but the owner
said the next time we came back (this November) it would be closed...so
if not already gone, it soon will be...

After reading your messages I gave them a quick call and they are still open.

Any other courses that anyone could recommend for a junior golfer (not too difficult).

Thanks.

Thanks...that's good to know. Did they happen to say how long they
will still be open? I enjoy going there because we always just use
a pull cart and walk. Very relaxing..
Another course that is not too difficult is Rose Hill. It is off the island, not
too far from HH National.

We had a good time

I took my 12-year old son there last year and we had a great time. Keep in mind, it's not like the courses you would find on the island, but for a junior golfer, it was perfect. And the price was very reasonable.

Hope this helps.

Fyi....Rose Hill golf course is closed; the executive course, if still open as noted earlier, would be fine for a junior golfer.

My son and I played 9 holes there and at HH National last Christmas. I think at National you pay the players age so it cost 9 dollars there. For the price and the quality of the course, I would pay a little more for Hilton Head National. With two adults, it might be more cost effective to play the Executive course but it wasn't in very good shape then.
