I need to stay one night in Madrid Nov 4.
Can you please recommend a hotel near the airport and public transportation?
I'd prefer a shuttle to and from the airport to be available.

We actually had the same need on Nov. 4. We are flying Iberia from Athens through Madrid. I did change the reservation and am now coming home on Nov. 6. I think you should put a post on Trip Adviser and ask for suggestions....and then price hotels on www.Kayak.com, Orbitz, Mobissimo, etc.

Thanks for the input. I've been looking at a variety of hotels. Wish there was one IN the airport.
Also, have been amazed that some give a price of around $100 for the room, and then cite $30 per person for breakfast.
