London and Michigan football

I know this is a long shot, but TUG has never let me down.

We will be in London during the Michigan - Ohio State game and I wondering if there is a place/pub/bar that might televise the game. I was looking for an alumni group event but I could not find anything on the web. I have tried contacting the alumni club listed on the UofM website, but I don't think the official one is active.

Try Bodeans

American BBQ sports bar in three locations. I have only been to the one in Soho, but they always try to have one or two of the more popular (most alumni or fan base in London) football games on whenever possible.
On the website menu is a link to their upcoming schedule for what will be on TV. As we get closer to the game you can check the menu. Keep in mind there is a 5 or 6 hour time difference. If it is a night game you might be out of luck.

The Big Game

is scheduled for 3:30 pm Eastern time which would be 5 or 6 hours later in London.

But you should have a good time on vacation, so maybe it would be better if you didn't watch the Bucks defeat the Wolverines.....

We will be watching the game with a true blue Michigan fan - it should be a great game for fans of either team.

Go Bucks

For you in England that should be an 8:30 PM or 9:30 PM start. I hope you enjoy the atmosphere when you watch it because the score won't be in your favor.

Go Huskies

I'm sorry, this is the wrong thread but when I see Michigan and Ohio State I just think of how year, after year, after year....the Pac Ten wins the Rose Bowl. I'm sad they changed the format. I'm sadder still that my Huskies won't see a Rose Bowl for many years...But we shall return.

Does Michigan have some kind of web thing where you can watch/listen to the game? Better schools, such as Penn State , have this. You have to pay for it, but can get the game anywhere you can get on the internet.

I'm hoping they carry the game in Hawaii! My plan is to TiVo it at home just in case! I agree that you may not want to watch....

Ok, here ya' go. If you go to www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com. There is a link on the right side of the page under Game Day Central. You should be able to listen there....however....the coverage will have a slightly pro scarlet and gray tone to it.

I hope it works so I can use it on our trip!

Thanks for all the advice. With each passing week, it looks like more than the Big Ten title may be at stake with the UofM OSU game. As a result it may be easier to find the game on TV in London - and in lots of other places. GO BLUE!!!

I sure hope you got to see the game today! It was nail bitter regardless which team you were rooting for.

Of course, I am pumped that the Buckeyes squicked by. Go bucks. On to the showdown in the desert.

We did get to see the game at the Sports Bar on Haymarket. Apparently there are a lot of OSU and UofM fans in London because the place was packed. It was a great game and we had a great time, even though our team did not win.

"Better Schools, such as Penn State?"-I am a Penn State Grad, and love my school. However, virtually all publications rate Michigan as one of the most difficult schools in terms of freshman admission in the US. Penn State, while competitive, has not been ever mentioned in the same category. I am surprised the Michigan grads on TUG didn't challenge you on this one.
