Im looking into traveing to AZ in the near future, Im a Sunterra Owner with II trade abilities. Im looking into staying NEAR the Grand Canyon. Sunterras resort are 3+ hours away from the canyon. Does anyone know a resort that is within 1 hour away.

One hour? Not a chance. It's an hour drive to the South Rim just from U.S. 89! I think the closest II timeshares are in Sedona. That's pretty close to 3 hours.

Book a Sun-Fri 5night stay for half a week's point value at Sedona Summit and spend the weekend at either end at the El Tovar or wherever at the Grand Canyon.

I understand the 'Deluxe' units at Sedona Summit are REALLY nice. They didn't exist when I had my first ever timeshare exchange there in 1998... we thought the regular units were very nice.

You'll enjoy Sedona Summit

I thought the Sedona Summit condos were among the best I ever stayed in. That was in 2000, and we only had a one bedroom but it was very roomy and NICE!

I had a 1BR in 1998 as my first ever TS exchange. Don't know when they started the newer buildings but the 'Deluxe' units in the newer sections are supposed to be even nicer!!!
