If you subscribe to the Cirque de Soleil e-mails at their website, they send advance notice of ticket sales and sometimes discount codes. That's how we got to see them in north Jersey.

I am in the list but never receive any discount code. I feel the price rise too much.

I belong to the Cirque club and I've never seen a discount code. What it does provide is advance ticket sales.

They did give a discount...let's see, last spring? I think it was 30 percent off, at the Meadowlands in NJ. It was definitely a substantial discount. We took two of our kids and it was still a good solid chunk of change, though. I'm sorry they don't do it more often.

You probably know that if you buy tickets and then take the tickets and go to the box office the day of the show, a few hours before the show (I think the exact time is on the website), and you may have to bring a printout that shows that you are on the email list, they will upgrade tickets to the better seating section for as many open seats as they have available. Unfortunately, the day we went, I think they only had a very few "better" seats available, and some people had been waiting in line for hours. So we didn't get upgraded. Half an hour after the start of the "upgrading" time they came out and said, "Out of upgrade seats!" I'm not absolutely sure that they do this for every show, but they did for ours.

I didn't know this. But, every single Cirque show I've been to has been sold out. My younger dder is a huge Cirque fan so we have been to every traveling show since Allegria.

I'm confused. Price increase for what?

Cool

in the past I've gotten discounted prices and early release sales from AmEx Gold when Cirque comes to ATL. If you have that card, you might want to take a look at the offers there by city.
