Any one been to Branson for the 4th of July?

Is there anything more interesting than usual in Branson for the 4th of July? It is probably hot but are the fireworks and festivites worth it? Crowded?

Branson 4th of July

We were in Branson around July4 a few years ago. And, yes, it was quite hot every day, and yes, the town was very crowded. But Branson seems to always be crowded. I don't recall any special fireworks. Almost all the stage shows have a patriotic theme or ending. There are so many timeshares there, it isn't a hard exchange.

Unless you are locked into a July timeframe, I personally prefer a late octobe week in Branson.
